Wedding flowers and bouquets can be extremely expensive, luckily for me my mum is a retired florist and jumped at the chance to do our wedding day bouquets. When it came to picking which flowers would be best we thought a trip out to Covent Garden Flower Market, London would be a perfect day out. Thank you to Jim Jams for supplying jars of chocolate hazelnut spread, blackcurrant jam and orange marmalade for this post. The post will look at bridal showers inspired by Bake Off, give you some recipe ideas, and provide a 100% honest review of the products.
A Bake Off Inspired Bridal Shower
Afternoon tea and baking bridal showers are becoming increasingly popular, with thanks as well to the BBC’s beloved Great British Bake Off. If your looking for something different from your bridal shower, and you want a more elegant affair a baking theme can be a fantastic option. You can decorate your shower with bunting, lace, vintage crockery and fresh flowers.
For your bakery or afternoon tea serve a selection of finger sandwiches, scones, iced biscuits and cakes. One recipe I would recommend is my Lemon Drizzle and Blackcurrant Tart made with Jim Jams blackcurrant jam.
